CES 2205: A mind-blowing event

Hello y’all๐Ÿ‘‹!

I’m Henry, and today, on this post, what should we focus on๐Ÿง?

Well, it is the event CES 2025! In case you don’t know, CES is a trade show where a lot of tech companies will showcase their concepts, developing, or finished products. If you’ve heard of Rabbit R1 (AI gadget ๐Ÿ‡) or Samsung MicroLED TV (transparent TV ๐Ÿ˜ถ‍๐ŸŒซ️), they were the products which were introduced in CES. For me, it’s one of my favorite tech events, because each year, there were tons of innovative tech products introduced! And I couldn’t imagine some of them existed (am I exaggerating?).

Alright, let’s focus on what I’m about to do. This year, instead of watching the YouTube videos, I decided to visit CES’ website to see all of the products myself. As expected, they are mind-blowing ideas! There are 458 items/products this year, and I found my 18 favorite items after 2 hours of scrolling. I’ve categorized them into different topics: accessibility, health & medical, education, desktop, VR/XR, environmental & energy, beauty. They’re such cool products, however, most of them are concepts and developing projects. I hope one day, all of these will appear on the market.

Caution: before I actually start, I just want to say that these products are based on my own interests, so you might question why I chose this but not that. But yeah, everyone has their own interests.

Accessibility:

Bling

I’ve already seen a few devices like this. The gloves, they’re cool, they detect sign language and translate to speech for us. However, I think if there’s a product like this one, with the shape and size of a smartwatch, it’ll be more convenient. Also, I really like the design of this product. It looks neat, clean and gives the feeling of technology.

MouthPad^

I think the developers of these products really thought outside of the box. Super creative. From the description, we were informed that this device works like a mouse but you wear it on your tongue to control it. At first, I thought, “Who’s gonna use it like that?”, but then I thought again, and, “Wow”. This product was created for people with disabilities to use. Yeah, even game companies like Playstation and Xbox had their adaptive controller for disabled gamers, then why shouldn’t we have a mouse controller for them to use their computers? This product is very helpful!

NAQI Neutral Earbud

However, this one is even much crazier. At first, I thought it was just a normal pair of earbuds. But when I read the description, it was totally crazy. These buds can be connected to most of the devices by Bluetooth, if I remember it right. And here is the fun part: it will be controlled by our brainwaves! I mean, just with our thoughts, we can control everything on the computer! It can be the mouse, the keyboard, everything, and we control it without using speech, eye movement, gesture or anything else. From the demo videos I saw on their website, they just put the buds into their ears and done, they can do everything without the actions from other parts of the body. Control by thoughts, right? If my guess is correct, then the buds transform our brainwaves into signals, and send them to the devices. This is my most favourite thing in the list! Hopefully the company will successfully complete this gadget.

Health & Medical:

BoldJet

I don’t know why this product was in the “Beauty” and “Personal care” categories. Because from its description, it is a kind of injection device which doesn’t need the needle. I’m not scared of vaccination and the needles, but many people do (Tiana is one of them). So, I think this device will be very helpful when it comes to medical and healthcare. It can be used for people who are scared of being hurted by needles, or can be used for kids. You know, a lot of children cry when it comes to vaccination.

Nuance Audio OTC Hearing Aid Glasses

Imagine getting a problem with hearing, and you also need glasses because everything will blur when you don’t have it on your eyes. I mean, people are still able to wear glasses and then a hearing aid. The ear thing is just like wearing a Bluetooth bud, but I think many people might have self-esteem when wearing those things. It’s not something big when we have to wear two separate accessories, but if they can be combined into one, it will be more convenient. So, the product is not as special as the NAQI earbuds, but still good, right?

ScanWatch Nova Brilliant

Alright, I like this product. Many people want to have a smart watch or something like that to track their health, at least their heartbeat, but they also want to wear a luxurious mechanical watch. It will be weird if we wear two different watches on two wrists, or two watches on a single arm, right? This product is definitely made for them. Look at it, the ScanWatch brings us a gorgeous feeling, but no one knows it can also track our heartbeat! Such a brilliant product.

Education: CoachON Math

I know there're tons of A.I out there which can solve math problems and provide step-by-step guides, but I think we should also give this one a chance, right? It was made specifically just for solving math, can be a tutor for students but with lower costs or even be free. Being a collaborative between Seomjae Co.,Ltd and MIT CSAIL, I think this is a potential A.I which will work great since its developers are from the top if not the best.

Desktop/PC: Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra

Just a normal desktop, but it is a mini PC which needs less space to be placed. There were a few mini PCs on the market, like ones from Asus and Apple. However, the number and diversity of brands which make this product is still not very much. This time, Lenovo stepped into selling these mini desktops. I think they can do very well because they already did that with their other products, especially the ThinkPad laptops. While the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra is not as small and minimal as Apple’s Mac mini and Mac Studio, I think it will still be able to be upgraded much in the future.

VR/XR: EmoTense suit

Have you seen the movie “Ready Player One”? The players play in the VR games, and they get the real feeling that their characters got in the game. Well, this suit does the same! With this full-body suit, every part of your body will get the feeling as if you’re living in the world of games. Combined with the VR treadmill which lets us run in the games that I saw somewhere on YouTube, I think we can really simulate the Ready Player One in real life!

Environmental Energy: Nanobubble Generator

I like this machine, it’s not some technological thing like phones or computers, but its function is very helpful when it comes to work. The machine collects carbon dioxide in the air, turns it into liquid form and stores it. If the Nanobubble machine can really do that thing, it will help both reduce carbon emission and also provide more resources (the collected CO2) for research or something.

Beauty: 0 min try-on studio

Last but not least, this “studio product” will be great for people who usually do makeup. It will work like a projector, projects different types of makeup onto our face so we can know how we look with a specific type of face cream, powder (is it the right word?), lipstick, etc. In the end, it is convenient to try on different things on our faces without actually putting them on.

Conclusion:

CES 2025 came in hot with tech that’s not just cool, but genuinely life-changing. If I could pick one to have right now, I told ya, it must be the NAQI Neutral Earbud - mind control? Say less. Which one blew your mind the most? Let me know! Again, you can see more products on CES’ website. And this is the end, I hope you enjoyed this post!
